Frequently Asked Questions

We generally do not charge for house or pet sitting because, in exchange for the peace-of-mind you’ll feel leaving your home and pets in loving hands, we get an opportunity to live in a new place and immerse ourselves in the local culture. That’s a win-win for everyone!

We have been pet and house sitting since 2012. We both grew up with pets. As our son was growing up, we have 2 shelties and a highly personable cat.

  • A comfortable, clean, smoke-free home in a safe area with amenities nearby
  • Pets that are not a danger to us or others
  • Homeowners who are honest about their home, pets and expectations
  • A bedroom with at least a queen- or two twin-sized beds
  • Reliable Internet access
  • Things you would provide a welcome guest, such as kitchen and laundry access, use of the living room, etc.

We know there's a lot to think about as you consider hosting a pet sitter in your home, so we would be happy to arrange a time when we could answer whatever questions you might have. If you're starting to make plans for an up-coming holiday but want reassurance that pet sitting is for you, feel free to reach out using our Contact Us page. We love talking with people who've never tried pet sitting about the joys and worry-free holidays it can create.

We have experience pet sitting dogs, cats, fish, birds, and rabbits. We are open to all small domestic animals or smaller farm animals. However, we do not support large farm animals such as horses or cattle.

We have also cared for Staffies, Pit Bulls and German Shepherds. We are comfortable with puppies as well as senior animals. We are quite active and will adjust to your dogs needs.

Yes, we have experience with:
