Mount Rushmore National Monument
Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center: view exhibits and a 14-minute film describing construction and methods used in carving Mount Rushmore.
Presidential Trail: 0.6 miles round trip, trail starts by coach parking includes 422 stairs. To avoid stairs, from plaza follow trail to left of amphitheater along relatively flat trail to viewpoint.
Sculptor’s Studio: where Gutzon Borglum spent much of his time refining his scale model of Mount Rushmore. Follow Presidential Trail and must walk down stairs to reach.
Audio Tour / Multimedia Tour: Record self-guided tour using rented audio or multimedia equipment. Available at the Information Center at entrance (Audio – $6, Multimedia – $8)
Lunch: on your own at Mt Rushmore café
